He was one of the most remarkable figures of the Bulgarian revolutionary movement, the most trusted associate of the Apostle of the Bulgarian Freedom - Vasil Levski, Head of the Secret Police, member of the Bulgarian legions in Belgrade, member of the Tarnovo Secret Revolutionary Comittee, member of the Internal Revolutionary Organisation, participant in the April Uprising of 1876, the Russo-Turkish Liberation War of 1877 - 1878, the Serbo-Bulgarian War of 1885, a MP of the VI-th Ordinary National Assembly (1890 - 1893).
Vasil Levski occasionally stayed at this house and his hiding place has been preserved to date.
